For over 20 years, Petaluma's Coonawarra has been predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, two of the best varietals from South Australia's renowned Coonawarra region. The fruit for Coonawarra is sourced from two main sites, the Evans Vineyard and the Sharefarmers Vineyard. The averag age of vines at Petaluma's Evans and Sharefarmers Vineyards is in excess of 30 years and these hand pruned, close spaced, vertical canopy vines are naturally balanced at modest crop levels of 5 tonnes/hectare of hand picked fruit.
