WINERY INFORMATION Family owned Paracombe Premium Wines was established by Paul and Kathy Drogemuller In 1983 they bought an old dairy farm and eventually started planting vines to fulfill their winemaking dream They launched the Paracombe wine label nine years later This delicious wine was crated using premium fruit parcels sourced from the original 20-year-old Cabernet grapevines planted in the family vineyard in 1992 nbsp TASTING NOTES The premium fruit used to create Paracombe Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested fermented in open tanks and hand plunged The wine was then pressed followed by maturation in French oak for 20 months The resulting Cabernet wine shows a deep red colour with a magenta haze The lifted nose is an amalgamation of blackcurrant cherry and spice aromas The full bodied palate packs juicy and generous flavours of ripe currants and plums complemented by fine and spicy tannins These delicious characters end the wine in a long and smooth finish Crafted for immediate consumption this tempting Cab Sauv can also be cellared for few years Suggested food pairings include lamb kebabs grilled steak with Salsa Verde and bittersweet chocolate nbsp nbsp
