Tyrrell’s began in 1858 after Edward Tyrrell purchased 320 acres on the edge of the Brokenback ranges. The slab hut that was his home was progressively surrounded by grapevines. The hut still stands today on the site which marks the birthplace of one of Australia’s greatest wine familis. Tyrrell’s Old Winery range is produced using fruit from premium Australian wine regions delivering distinctive varietal character and outstanding quality.Tyrrell's Old Winery Pinot Noir shows off lots of varietal cherry and strawberry aromas with complexing forest floor undertones. A soft but generously flavoured style with sweet aromas of berries and mushroom. The palate is long and concentrated with rich sweet fruit, subtle savoury oak support and smooth tannins.
