Nga Waka was established in 1988 and are a small family-owned winegrower and producer making top-quality wines in Martinborough. We’ve worked with them in the past and this year we’ve brought in even more of their range of delicious pinots - including this estate wine. It is a really itriguing wine to discover - first showing off intense floral and spice aromatics, along with beautiful strawberry and blackberry. The palate is firm and medium-bodied with silky tannins and an interplay of dark berries and spicy, earthy notes. I’d take Candice Chow’s recommendation of pairing this wine with cured venison for a knock-out food and wine match.
