Winery Overview Located on the granite ridges of the Blackwood Valley in Western Australia, Nannup Ridge was established in 1998 on a 16-hectare site with exceptional soils and an elevated aspect. The estate is owned and run by the Fitzgerald brothers, and their winemaking is overseen by award-winnig contract winemaker Bruce Dukes. The vineyard produces Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and prides itself on crafting wines that reflect its unique terroir. Region amp Vintage Conditions The 2020 vintage of this Shiraz is drawn from the estate vineyards in Blackwood Valley, where vines benefit from long hours of sunshine followed by cool nights and coastal-influenced breezes. These growing conditions favour a measured ripening process with optimal flavour development and retained natural acidity. The granite-loam soils deliver both concentration and finesse, giving the 2020 vintage strong regional character and ageing potential.
