Mt Monster Chardonnay 1 Bottles

$10.00

Winery Background Mt. Monster Wines is a family-owned winery based in the scenic Padthaway Valley, 300 km south of Adelaide, South Australia. With a focus on sustainable and environmentally conscious viticulture, the Bryson family cultivates premium fruit on fertile terra rosa soils. Their commitmen to low-yield vineyard management and meticulous fruit selection allows them to produce wines with exceptional purity, depth, and balance. The winerys artisanal approach and passion for quality have been recognised globally, with awards highlighting their dedication to crafting elegant and expressive wines. Vineyards and Vintage Conditions The 2022 Chardonnay showcases the best parcels of fruit from Padthaway Valleys rich soils. Mild, dry days and carefully monitored vine balance throughout the season resulted in low yields but outstanding fruit concentration. These conditions supported vibrant, fruit-driven characters and crisp acidity that define this style. Winemaking The base of this Chardonnay is crafted from gently pressed free-run juices, preserving delicate aromatics. Fermentation and maturation in stainless steel at 1214C maintain the wines fresh and lively fruit expression, while a small portion receives extended lees contact to enhance texture and complexity on the palate. Tasting Notes Appearance Bright straw colour with lime green highlights Aroma Melon, peach, and citrus fruits offer an inviting bouquet Palate Crisp and refreshing, mirroring the aromas with clean citrus and stone fruit flavours Finish Bright and zesty with a crisp, satisfying finish Although it can benefit from 2 years of bottle maturation, this wine shines when enjoyed young and fresh. Food Pairing Perfect with seafood, light poultry dishes, and fresh garden salads. Also pairs beautifully with creamy cheeses and subtly spiced dishes that complement its vibrant fruit and crisp acidity.
