WINERY INFORMATION Vineyard The story of Marble Hill began in the 1860s when South Australian landowner and parliamentarian Sir Samuel Davenport was given a cutting of ldquo chardonuet rdquo by a Burgundian horticulturist Somehow and history is not clear on the sequence of events that led to tis the cutting came to be grown in the South Australian Governor rsquo s summer residence a property known as Marble Hill in the Adelaide Hills TASTING NOTES Light yellow youthful looking Lovely complex nose superbly harmonised fruit oak and other inputs Rich but fine palate tidy and tight delicate yet rich and concentrated Impressive wine If anything it errs on the pristine squeaky-clean side Very good length and balance Power and finesse
