WINERY INFORMATION Mitchell Wines was founded back in 1949 by the Mitchell patriarch Peter McNicol Mitchell From a dairy patch cum small vineyard Mitchell Wines has grown to incorporate about 80 hectares of dry-grown fields Their four vineyards sites are found further inland in the western hill of Clare Valley about 300 to 450 meters above sea level These four vineyards are Sevenhill Vineyard Alcatraz Growers and the last and most recent acquisition being in the hills of Auburn TASTING NOTES This dry wine from Clare Valley is pale yellow in colour with a vibrant and clear green hue The nose is greeted with lemon blossoms and bath salt minerality This wine packs a powerful surge of traditional Watervale lemon and lime fruit on the palate The crisp acidity is gracefully balanced with a delicate yet mouth-watering tang of citrus fruit flavours Its finish is long and pleasing hence making it a decent accompaniment to fresh seafood and not-too-spicy foods nbsp
