The Founder has been crafted from grapes grown in New Zealand’s Moutere district. Like the Barossa to shiraz, Moutere is known for being a killer pinot locale. And it shows. With a classy nose of red cherry and strawbery tart, complemented by a ripe, round palate and fine, chalky tannins, this is a delightful Kiwi surprise. Especially given the price. Good pinot for less than ten bucks? Whodathunkit?
