WINERY INFORMATION Founded in 1877 McWilliam rsquo s Wines believes that people and not companies produce high-quality wines Samuel McWilliam established the brand 140 years ago when he planted his very first grapevines on the banks of the River Murray McWilliam rsquo s philosophy is to put the uality of the fruit first The company is headed by CEO Jeff McWilliam while sixth generation family member Scott McWilliam leads the winemaking team TASTING NOTES This stunning Shiraz features a purple-red colour with a bright haze The perfumed nose exudes pleasing aromas of red cherries blood plums cloves and black spice with toasty oak nuances lurking in the background The palate is intense and medium bodied filled with blueberry and violet flavours coupled with supple tannins The finish is long and creamy marked by oak spice characters With a cellaring potential of 5 years this delicious McW 480 Shiraz tastes marvellous with tomato-based pasta grilled lamb and roasted duck in red curry
