WINERY INFORMATION McPherson Wines is a family owned wine company located in Mount Waverley Victoria Andrew McPherson established the winery in 1968 He began creating wines in 1974 after learning different aspects of winemaking from his father Jock The winemaking team is presently headed by J Nash who started her career under Andrew rsquo s guidance She was appointed the Chief Winemaker of the company in 2011 nbsp TASTING NOTES The fruit used to produce this enticing Laneway Chardonnay was harvested in the cool of the night and barrel fermented followed by extended contact with lees This resulted in the creation of a pale straw coloured wine showing light green tinges The attractive bouquet exhibits mesmerising aromas of tropical fruits coupled with apple and spice notes The generous and mouth filling palate contains enticing fruit flavours balanced by light oak notes The finish is clean lengthy and textured This delicious Chardonnay has the potential to be cellared for 2 to 6 years It tastes excellent served slightly cold with spaghetti vongole or char-grilled calamari nbsp
