This sassy little Grenache from Maxwell Wines is surprisingly elegant and medium-bodied for McLaren Vale, which makes it all the more slurpable, and a steal at the price! Lots of black cherry and raspberry scents run around the glass, along with hints of peppery spice. The palate is quite smooth andsupple, with more red berry flavours, a lick of chocolaty oak, gentle tannins and a dry, musky finish. It should kick on for another 3-5 years, but would be great now with a slow-cooked pork shoulder. Red - Grenache and Blends - Grenache
