WINERY INFORMATION Macaw Creek Wines is a reputed boutique winery started by Rod Hooper in 1992 in the Mount Lofty Ranges region of South Australia Built on a beautifully restored ancestral land owned by the Hooper family for five generations the winery was established with the aim to craft premum handcrafted organic and preservative free table wines nbsp TASTING NOTES Macaw Creek Mount Lofty Ranges Cabernet Shiraz displays a bright ruby colour and exudes scintillating aromas from its attractive nose The palate is rife with flavours of ripe cassis and mint from Cabernet grapes supported by blackberry and plum notes from the Shiraz fruit coupled with hints of vanillin oak These flavours and fragrances are balanced by the fine tannins to end in a delicate and persistent finale This delightful Cab Shiraz is made for consumption upon release and tastes great with beef burgers traditional Irish stew and Italian pasta salad nbsp
