Burgundy doesn't ever come this good, this cheap, ever. In fact, we keep expecting the importer to ring us up and say 'Hey Team Cracka, you f*cked up the price on that Les Trois'. We might turn the phone off this afternoon... But back to this wine. If you like joyous, juicy and utterly seductivereds, then you're going to like this wine. You really are. A blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir, this taps into the joy of both grapes, and backs everything up with some surprising, life-affirming tannins. Campbell Mattinson describes it even better, calling this a 'smiling assassin of a wine' that is 'perfumed and quite gorgeous to drink' but 'churns with a serious turn to tannin through the back half'. Delicious light bodied red, from a superb vintage, and at this price? Incredible. Little wonder that Campbell also said 'I personally would buy and drink this'.
