WINERY INFORMATION Lake Breeze wines has earned a reputation for consistently producing award-winning South Australian wines With the first vineyards of Lake Breeze established in the 1880s by Arthur J Follett the Follett family has been growing grapes at Langhorne Creek for over 125 years nbspLake Breeze has achieved various accolades over the years - about 42 trophies and 149 gold medals TASTING NOTES The fruit for this Lake Breeze Old Vine Grenache was handpicked from the winery s 1932 planting of Grenache vines Nurtured in open fermenters and aged for 10 months in two-year-old French barriques this classic Grenache features a strong purple red colour It opens with candied raspberry redskin lolly and earthy characters flowing off the scintillating nose The palate is juicy and smooth with light tannins that swirl through supple red fruit flavours leading to a slightly bitter yet refreshing finish With adequate cellaring this wine will age gracefully over the next 5 years Pair this delicious wine with braised meats stews or washed rind cheese
