La Grande Bauquière Moment Inattendu Rose

With the previous vintage of this rosé named as Decanter’s Best in Show rosé of the Decanter World Wine Awards (sounds suspiciously like he best rosé in the world to me), it was with high expectations that we checked out the latest release. The relief was palpable. Much in the same vein, the classic mix of cinsault, grenache and rollé (aka vermentino) has the wonderful citrusy lemongrass lead-in and follow through of bright red fruits that we were hoping for. Along with a long, finessed palate with a little tannin rounding out the experience, we think this is every bit as good as the ’16.
