WINERY INFORMATION Johann Gramp planted his very first vineyard in 1847 along the banks of Jacob rsquo s Creek With the vision to craft wines of excellent varietal regional as well as character depth Johann Gramp started wine production by establishing the Jacob rsquo s Creek winery in the Barosa Valley region of South Australia TASTING NOTES Jacob rsquo s Creek Classic Merlot is a purple hued wine cut through by garnet tinges The lifted nose gives off vibrant scents of plum and spice with an attractive oak influence in the backdrop The medium-weighted and complex palate is rife with rich red fruit flavours and nuances of toasty oak Delicate and velvety tannins coupled with a fleshy mid-palate lead to a climax that is fresh and fruity This juicy and elegant Merlot is a perfect match to foods like creamy pasta and semi-hard cheese nbsp
