'Powerful style of Riesling, green apple, wet stones, lavender, lime and fresh yoghourt. Intense, bold, fine powdery pumice stone texture with perfume, guava and zest of lime, cool commanding acidity, but so settled and unobtrusive, almost a key lime pie richness carrying the very long finish. Itâ™s discernibly different to most Australian Riesling, and plants its flag firmly in the powder. Wonderful' - Gary Walsh The Wine Front. One of the great drivers of riesling recognition in recent times is the team at Frankland Estate. Their range of single vineyard rieslings from the deep south of Western Australia is among the best in the country. Fine and delicate, the wines are packed with layers of delicious fragrant riesling goodness. My favourite is their Isolation Ridge Vineyard Riesling. To me, it always seems to have incredible freshness and drive on the palate, is racy without being tart, and the fragrant lime and citrus of the variety shines.
