WINERY INFORMATION The story of Hemera Estate began in 1993 when Darius and Pauline Ross bought a property nestled on a 100-year-old vineyard 6 years later they released their first vintage under the Ross Estate wine label In 2012 Winston Wines purchased the company and renamed it lsquo Hemar Estate rsquo after the Greek goddess of daylight The company rsquo s winery was built in 2000 and is surrounded by the in-house 45ha vineyard nbsp TASTING NOTES Evolution Bacchus Cabernet Merlot is a stylish blend of 51 Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with 49 Merlot grapes This resulted in the creation of a bright ruby red hued wine showing violet flecks The aromatic nose exhibits pleasing scents of blackcurrant earth sweet plum and ripe Cabernet grapes with suggestions of warm spicy oak notes The spicy and creamy palate packs fresh flavours of red and black fruits supported by tight tannins This medium bodied Cab Merlot ends in a juicy and balanced finale With the potential to be cellared for 5 years this delicious red blend tastes amazing with BBQ beef veggie samosas and berry pie nbsp
