WINERY INFORMATION Hastwell and Lightfoot is located in the McLaren Vale region of South Australia Established by Mark Hastwell and Martin Lightfoot in 1988 the company is known for producing some of the best premium wines from its 40-acre vineyard The 1990 Cabernet Sauvignon was the first wine o be bottled under the Hastwell amp Lightfoot brand TASTING NOTES Hastwell amp Lightfoot Barbera dal Vale shows a deep bright red colour in the glass The aromatic bouquet exudes aromas of plums and blackberries backed by a whiff of vanilla and nutmeg The palate carrying flavours of prunes and spices is gentle and soft yet gives a full mouthfeel Mild tannins fuse with these characters to lead to a classy and lingering finish This sophisticated wine can be paired with beef or venison
