Harewood Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

You’ll have to drive around 400km south of Perth to find Harewood Estate, hiding out down in the Great Southern wine region. It’s a long dive but it comes with a rich reward, namely this reserve ’13 cabernet. This is a complex little number, with a full, seamless palate of the blackest cherry, the darkest licorice and a good handful of spicy French oak. Pair that with blackcurrant, mint, cedar and tobacco leaf, and you’re beginning to see why this wine alone is worth a long day’s drive.
