As with so many smaller wineries Hare's Chase came about as a joint venture between friends Peter Taylor and Michael de la Haye when in 1996 they and their families first got together to make some "fun" wine. In the years since the wine has evolved to become a classical Barossa Shiraz a true repesentation of the sub region of Marananga with firm but balanced tannin full bodied with exceptional length of flavour.
