The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz celebrates the two most significant varieties in Australian wine over the last 100 years. This is a truly exceptional wine from two f Australia’s best vineyards, and hallmark wine regions. Powerful aromas of cassis, dark bramble fruits, peat, and ripe plum, coupled with complexing notes of sage, cedar and black olive, provide a bouquet of interest and intensity. The perfume and fragrance of Cabernet Sauvignon works in perfect harmony with the darker fruit profile of the Shiraz. Rich, layered and precise, the palate exhibits waves of flavour and fruit sweetness. Dark chocolate, plums and spice flavours fill the palate. A fine grained tannin structure that gives the wine substantive backbone and drive, providing a wine of incredible length and balance. He was commissioned by Hardys Wines in 1982 to create an art series to bring Hardys to life in vibrant colour, it depicts the frenetic nature of vintage time at the Hardys winery. This remarkable artwork is one of John Olsen’s many paintings and sketches still exhibited at the Hardys’ Homestead today.
