The 2006 vintage of Grange is a superbly perfumed and concentrated wine that combines the intense fruit and ripe tannins while extracting the nuances of new, fine grained American Oak after 20 months careful maturation. As winemaker, Peter Gago, put it: "it has an iron fist in a velvet glove." 'Dep crimson; its bouquet has a strikingly complex array of black characters that run all the way from the first whiff to the finish and aftertaste: licorice, tar, bitter chocolate, blackberry, prune and plum. The tannins are prominent, and play their part with each successive sip of the steadily building impact on the very long palate, but they are in balance with the fruit and oak of an extremely powerful Grange.' - 98 Points - James Halliday - Published on 18 Nov 2011. • Available in Selected Stores Only | Please call 1300 366 084 if interested in purchasing.
