WINERY INFORMATION With more than 30 years of winemaking experience the Giesen brothers established Giesen Wines with the belief that winemaking is not a job but a way of life This philosophy encourages the winemaking team to craft flavoursome and easy drinking wines that aptly reflect their pasion for winemaking in every bottle produced The estate rsquo s first vineyard was planted by Alex Theo and Marcel Giesen in Burnham New Zealand nbsp TASTING NOTES Giesen Estate Sauvignon Blanc is a pale straw hued wine exuding zesty aromas of elderflower kaffir lime lemon grass pink grapefruit and dried herbs from its perfumed bouquet The vibrant and generous palate packs concentrated fruit and citrus flavours which combine with a layer of juicy acidity to end the wine in a crisp dry and refreshing finale This wonderful white wine tastes splendid with fresh mussels or clams steamed in a tomato garlic and fresh herb broth nbsp
