Founded in 1859 by Giovanni Gaja the estate is today run by his great-grandson Angelo Gaja with his daughters Gaia and Rossana playing a major role in the business. This Nebbiolo is garnet in colour; the nose is almost sensual in its coplexity with aromas of forest fruits plums licorice mineral and coffee scents. Long complex finish with fine silk-like tannins and good acidity; dense structure full of super-ripe fruit.
