Fox Creek Jims Script McLarenVale Cabernet Blend 1 Bottles

$28.80

Winery Overview Fox Creek is one of McLaren Vales most respected wineries, producing wines that balance power with elegance. Jims Script is their Bordeaux-inspired blend, crafted as a tribute to the synergy of varietals and the art of blending. This Cabernet-based cuvée combines structure, fragranc, and generosity, embodying both regional character and Old World sophistication. Region amp Vintage Conditions The 2022 vintage in McLaren Vale delivered excellent growing conditions, with warm days and cool nights allowing for balanced ripening across all varieties. Fruit was harvested between late February and mid-March, ensuring each component was picked at its peak expression. Winemaking The final blend comprises Cabernet Sauvignon 50, Merlot 32, Cabernet Franc 9, and Petit Verdot 9. Each varietal was vinified separately to highlight its strengths before careful blending. Open fermentation and 710 days on skins brought depth and colour. The Cabernet parcels were matured in seasoned French oak two- and three-year-old barrels, Merlot in two-year-old French oak, and the Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in older oak to maintain freshness and vibrancy. The result is a finely tuned wine where structure, aromatics, and flavour harmonise seamlessly. Tasting Notes Appearance Rosewood red Aroma Brambly red and blue fruits lifted by cassis, plum, and milk chocolate, with a subtle savoury edge Palate Red cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant, layered with roasted nuts, brown spice, and chocolatey tannins Finish Long, smooth, and focused, carried by fine acidity and elegant structure Cellaring Ready to enjoy now but will evolve beautifully with cellaring for up to 10 years. Food Pairing A classic partner for rich dishes such as slow-cooked lamb shanks, roast beef, or venison. It also works wonderfully with mushroom ragù, aged cheddar, or hard cheeses. Accolades 93 points Wine Orbit
