Minervois is a little region in the south of France that punches WAY above its weight. The reds are almost always some variation on the GSM blend with this one being only grenache and syrah. You’ll find complexity and ripeness with a bit of creaminess and richness on the full palate. The frui, leaning towards blueberry, and white pepper hints are all supported by evident oak that leads to a long, satisfying finish. You could pay a lot more for something of this quality out of a flashier area of perhaps the Rhône Valley, but you’re a savvy wine buyer, aren’t you?
