Bouquet of raspberry jubes and redcurrant along with musk, rose florals, and hints of rosemary and orange Turkish Delight. The palate is Both vibrant and voluptuous; bright flavours are layered with polished sandy tannins, and succulent red fruits are followed by sweet spices and crunchy red plums. “Jolly Grenache, all pretty, floral and sweet fruited perfume, some woody spice there too, soft, lush texture, slurpability to the max. There’s decent depth of flavour here too. Has lots of ‘Grenache 101’ feel to it, in the best sense. Drink as is as a winter warmer, but it struck me as a wine that could go a light chill too.
