WINERY INFORMATION Managed by the second-generation brothers Cameron and Allister Ashmead Elderton Wines is a family owned wine company based in Nuriootpa in the heart of Barossa Valley The winemaking team at Elderton works with the objective to craft world class wines from different grape varieies typical to the Barossa region TASTING NOTES The 2015 E-series Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 24 Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with 76 Shiraz grapes The resulting wine displays deep purple hues with an alcohol content of 14 5 The attractive and perfumed bouquet exudes fresh and juicy aromas of plum cherry and cassis which intermix with subtle vanilla undertones on the palate to culminate in a crisp and lingering finale With a cellaring term till 2018 this elegant Australian Shiraz blend tastes wonderful with pizza pasta and classic Aussie BBQ
