Evans & Tate has played a major part in Margaret River’s vinous history since 1974. Headed by Matt Byrne, the winemaking team crafts a diverse range of wines, from the Evans & Tate Cabernet Sauvignon flagship to its well-priced, drink-now E&T range, whose fruit is sourced from various WA regins. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, with 10% matured in French oak barrels, the wine is blended just before bottling, with the vintage determining the final blend. The current ratio is 56% cabernet sauvignon, 41% merlot and 3% shiraz. Lifted ripe plums and a red berry fruit notes complimented by hints of clove and vanilla bean spices. The palate has a supple fruit core of juicy dark plum and bright red berry fruit notes dominate, held together by fine grained tannins across the mid palate with a lovely acid line. Evans & Tate
