Domaine Des Feraud Cuvée Prestige Rose

Well, you only need the words ‘cuvée prestige’ and â€Ã€¹Ã…“organic’, mixed with ‘Provence rosé’ and a couple of gold medals to get my attention. So, yes, that’s quite a lot. Luckily, this wine has quite a lot to offer. All of those things, plus the face that it’s not the usual suspect pink stuff. It’s a spicy, aromatic blend of cinsault, grenache, syrah and rolle. Yes, rolle. No, not Rollie shoes. Rolle is actually vermentino, by another name. Which is citrus pith flavours if I ever smelt or tasted them. So while this wine faithfully has all the raspberry and peach of the red varietals, it pitches in with some grapefruit and lime, to make it taste like an exotic cocktail before you’ve even added the juice or vodka. Who needs them when this feels so right already?
