Farigoule is the Provenal name for the herb thyme it is the essence of the region and the most revered of all the herbs. The thyme is picked just when it blossoms it is then macerated then distilled. The mixture of the flowering tops and dried leaves gives Farigoule great aromatic balance. A tinist amount of other local herbs such as sage lemon verbena and angelica are added to deepen the flavours and add local character to the liqueur. It is the traditional liqueur in Provence.
