When we caught up with Vanya she was tasting the freshly pressed 2018 cabernets. Tasting is such a huge part of her role; the days spent tasting grapes in order to choose a harvest time she says, is her most important decision. In fact, from what she says if there were a book about her life it'd be alled Connected to the Vine Most of the Time. It's a telling title and just as well the love of wine is deeply engrained within her. It was that love that drove her to pursue winemaking in the first place after a happy childhood growing up on a farm. Her great passion is making wines of great depth and detail but doing so sustainably. - Vanya Cullen Managing Director & Chief Winemaker Cullen Wines. This wine was produced on a certified Biodynamic, Carbon Neutral and naturally powered estate. This outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot displays densely flavoured ripe dark fruits complemented by discrete fine-grained tannins. It was matured in French oak barrels for 6 months. Delicious
