An elegant rendition of the variety, deep bold purple/red colour, with a powerful sweet oak and spicy, plummy fruit bouquet. Traces of nutmeg and mixed spices. The wine is full-bodied and firm, with lashings of tannin and grip, which lasts long on the farewell. A powerful, concentrated wine which ha absolutely no fear of tannin. It cries out for a little cellar-time.
