WINERY INFORMATION Courabyra is located 6 km northwest of the Tumbarumba region at the foothills of the famous Snowy Mountains Tumbarumba is regarded as a cool-climate wine region perfect for the creation of excellent quality Australian sparkling and table wines Courabyra Wines is the merger ofCathy Gairn and her brother Stephen Morrison rsquo s separate vineyard properties under a single brand name TASTING NOTES 2013 experienced near-perfect grape growing conditions which allowed for the growth of fleshy and juicy grapes presenting marvellous regional and varietal depth Fruit for this wine was hand -harvested and whole bunch pressed followed by malolactic fermentation The wine juice obtained was matured on lees in French oak barriques prior to blending bottling and packaging This exquisite Chardonnay displays a pale straw colour highlighted by green hues at the edges Blissful aromas of grapefruit and lemon curd flow off the bouquet along with struck match nuances The complex and beautifully structured palate reveals flavours of nectarine lime malt and flint that blend seamlessly with the creamy texture gracious phenolics and mineral elements to provide a long and persistent finish Game meats as well as poultry and fish cuisines taste magnificent with this vibrant Chardonnay nbsp
