WINERY INFORMATION Churchview Estate gets its name from the St Johns heritage listed Anglican church as seen from the tasting room The privately owned property was selected for its ideal and fertile gravelly loam soils ample clean water and north facing slopes The 100 hectare estate has 56 hecares under vines growing 16 different grape varieties The portfolio of wines offered is both extensive and exciting with a wine to suit every occasion and every budget This website will tell you the story behind the very passionate and dedicated team who are only interested in producing the very best wines for your enjoyment It is for these reasons Churchview Estate was awarded a five star winery status from James Halliday in 2016 TASTING NOTES The Chenin Blanc grape variety finds its origins in the Loire Valley of France It has become a much more popular style here in Australia over the past decade and is now being produced in larger quantities in Margaret River The Silverleaf Chenin Blanc offers intense tropical fruit aromas on the nose with passion fruit pineapple lime and subtle notes of orange blossom lemon sorbet and jasmine The palate is fresh and lively with intense fruit salad coupled with a subtle slightly sweet finish It s a wine best enjoyed in the afternoon or as the sunsets with great friends and tapas A true crowd pleaser
