There’s something just a li’l bit Holy about this vino. Iâ€â„ÂÂm not a particularly faithful person, but if I gotta have faith (thanks George Michael), I’m going to put it in chardonnay. Especially chardy like this Mersault-Blagny 1er Cru. The first vines in the area were planted by monks in the 14th century and, as if that’s not enough, producer Laurent Martelet named his label after his mother-in-law – a truly Holy gesture.
