WINERY INFORMATION Accredited with Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand Chard Farm is a family owned wine estate located in Queenstown NZ Skilled winemaker Rob Hay acquired the vineyard in 1987 and his wife Gerdi Schumann planted their very first wines on the property The company currently own 5 vineyards planted in Gibbston Valley as well as the Lowburn and Parkburn subregions of Central Otago nbsp TASTING NOTES Chard Farm Closeburn Chardonnay is a pale straw hued wine showing light yellow tints The attractive bouquet exudes enticing scents of citrus and dried herbs with stony hints evident in the backdrop These fragrances make way for a broad and lush palate laden with white fleshed fruits Saline acidity integrates with these wonderful characters to offer a long calm and refreshing finale This full bodied unoaked Chardonnay tastes great with tomato tarts butter chicken curry and sashimi nbsp
