Now under the watchful care of Henri Lurton Chateau Brane-Cantenac comprises 55% Cabernet Sauvignon 40% Merlot and lesser plantings of Cabernet Franc and Carmenere. Planted on fine gravel soils the estate proffers full-bodied wines of concentration and intensity though oak use is kept to below 0% new for these prestigious wines. 2010 has produced a wine of satiny-textured glossy fruit with deep concentration and richness. Though the wine wouldn't be set to 'blockbuster' status it is a profoundly excellent example of Margaux wine and thankfully approachable within five years for some earlier drinking pleasure. That being said the wine will mature well for 30 years.
