Vineyard The grapes are grown on our own vineyard with a nbsp lsquo hands-on rsquo passion and a mind for environmental nbsp excellence and quality We aim to meet the old nbsp adage that great fruit makes great wine nbsp A combination of Hunter tradition and daring nbsp innovation with alternatve varieties makes nbsp Catherine Vale a shining star and a must-do on nbsp your wine agenda Tasting Notes This iconic Hunter grape variety is of French origin but the Hunter nbsp Valley is known for a style of wine which ages for many years and the nbsp combination of terroir and humid weather conditions have put it rsquo s nbsp mark on this wine style Catherine Vale has two clones of Semillon on nbsp three different rootstocks The resultant wines can vary from year to nbsp year in their characters but generally possess the following Colour Vibrant light straw with tinges of pale green nbsp Nose Intense aroma showing citrus blossom pear and nbsp star fruit characters Palate Hints of nectarine and citron with the balanced acidity nbsp giving a fine finish with lengthy flavours of citrus and nbsp pineapple
