Camshorn, originally a Suffolk sheep farm, is surrounded by the Waipara regions Teviotdale hills. The unique suntrap climate with cool autumn nights is key to creating rich, aromatic and elegant wines. A small yet diverse region, Waipara consistency delivers excellent wines and Camshorn is no excepton, showcasing stunning wines that exemplify the regions terroir. The Camshorn Pinot Noir has dark fruit and smoky aromas leading to a medium-bodied palate of black cherry compote, and ripe plum joined by savoury spices and vanilla. Grapes were harvested at optimum ripeness with excellent potential in terms of colour, varietal expression and tannin structure. Pumped over twice daily to reach full flavour, the wine was pressed into French Oak to allow malolactic fermentation and maturation to take place.
