Brightwater is one of our favourite little producers out of Nelson on the South Island of New Zealand. This is their Te Kāhu pinot, a wine that honours the native carrier hawk of that same name. It’s quite supple with a savoury undertone and dark cherry on the fruit side. A touch of French oak ads structure and helps make for a long finish. Nelson always punches well above its weight, and this juicy number from one of the regions best boutique wineries is a perfect example of that.
