Blue Pyrenees has been making some of the best wines out of the Pyrenees for well over 50 years. And they often get the most attention for their fizz. The Luna is an NV blend of chardonnay and pinot noir that expresses a nose of citrus, fresh bread and green apples. The palate has a fine bead due tothe utilisation of methode traditionnelle with flavours of lemon, nougat and shortbread. The wine is fresh in style but still carries yeasty complexity from almost two years spent on lees. It’s no surprise that Winestate Magazine gave this 97 points and a five star rating. Sparkling wine of this quality at this price is truly something astonishing. As the old saying goes, ‘shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars.’
