Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz 2016 has notes of fresh crushed blackberry and dark plum that finishes on a firm note of liquorice and roasted walnut.Bin 128 comprises fruit sourced from the unique cigar-shaped terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, a region that exemplifies the perfume, transparency and seductiv nature of cool-climate red table wines. Coonawarra has remained the primary source of Shiraz fruit for Bin 128 since the inaugural release of the 1962 vintage. Matured in a mixture of new (30%) and seasoned French oak hogshead for 12 months, a method that was refined during the 1980’s when the transition was made from American to French oak.
