The warm climate of the Riverland is ideal for ripening grapes to optimum maturity for premium fortified production. Fruit for Anchorage Fine Aged Tawny has been sourced from Angove’s Anchorage and Nanya vineyards and selected local grower.Anchorage Fine Aged Tawny is a combination of specially selected vintage parcels of varying age. Each component is fermented on skins for a short period, pressed and fortified to strength using grape or premium brandy spirit. Once clarified the wine is stored in small oak casks for many years. At time of blending each individual barrel is assessed for quality and style with only the most outstanding barrels being incorporated into the final blend.
