Alloy Double Pass Shiraz 1 Bottles

$12.00

Winery Overview The ALLOY Double Pass Shiraz is crafted by the Byrne family, who have been growing and making wine for more than sixty years across four generations. Their vineyards are managed with a strong focus on sustainability and land regeneration, with an approach that aims to protect the envronment while producing expressive, flavour-driven wines. This Shiraz reflects that philosophy through richness, fruit purity and a smooth, generous style. Region and Vintage Conditions The 2022 vintage delivered warm, steady conditions that allowed the fruit to ripen fully and develop intense colour and flavour. Consistent sunshine and mild evenings supported the bold, ripe style typical of this Shiraz, while still preserving balance and freshness. Winemaking Techniques Premium Shiraz parcels were selected for their richness and depth. The wine was fermented to highlight bright red fruit notes, then passed through a double extraction process to enhance flavour concentration. Gentle oak influence added mocha, dark chocolate and soft spice, while maintaining a smooth, velvety texture. Tasting Notes Appearance Vibrant deep red Aroma Raspberry, mulberry, sweet red fruits, mocha and subtle toasty oak Palate Juicy and fruit-forward from the first sip with strawberry and raspberry notes. Dark chocolate and coffee oak add weight and richness through the mid palate. Soft tannins and medium acidity give the wine a long, smooth finish. Finish Rounded, rich and velvety with lingering sweet fruit and chocolate notes Key Characteristics Full, rich and fruit-driven Bright red berries with chocolate and mocha complexity Smooth, soft tannins with a long, generous finish Food Pairing Recommendations Great with roast meats, BBQ dishes, slow-cooked meals, aged cheddar, mushroom risotto or dark chocolate desserts. It also works well with hearty weeknight meals and relaxed weekend dining. Expert Review Sam Kim Wine Orbit notes that the wine is sweetly fruited and inviting with dried cherry, hazelnut, cake spice and dark chocolate. It is succulent and velvety with smooth texture and mellow tannins.
