Senior winemaker Paul Smith believes this release is the closest he and the Wirra Wirra team have come to delivering their vision for this wine. Founder of Wirra Wirra, the late Greg Trott was somewhat of a cricket nut and had visions of wearing the baggy green cap. This is an elegant yet flavoursom wine with white peach, citrus, hints of almonds and biscuit on the nose. Fermented in French oak and on wild yeasts, there's a complexity and yet lightness in this wine. The oak is balanced and does not dominate and there good acidity and a refreshing finish.
