WINERY INFORMATION Established in 1969 Yarra Yering produces elegant and balanced wines using fruit harvested from the company rsquo s 70 acre vineyard The vineyard was first planted by Dr Bailey Carrodus The company rsquo s cellar door is located on Briarty Road in Gruyere Victoria The firstvintage of Dry Red Wine No 2 was produced in the year 1973 nbsp TASTING NOTES Yarra Yering Dry Red No 2 is a rich blend of Shiraz grapes with a small percentage of vibrant Marsanne and Viognier grapes The grapes were co-fermented to retain maximum suppleness and vibrancy The resulting wine shows a deep purple red colour The fragrant nose exudes lively aromas of black fruit pepper capsicum and meat with scents of flowers and stone fruit following the lead A fine layer of bright acidity integrates with the medium bodied palate containing stewed characters and dark chocolate flavours The aromas and flavours in the wine culminate in a clean and captivating finish With a cellaring potential of 10 to 15 years this vibrant red blend tastes great with roasts and red meat dishes
