WINERY INFORMATION Urlar Estate is a family owned wine company producing an outstanding collection of premium wines using organic and biodynamic principles The company derives its name from the Gaelic word lsquo urlar rsquo meaning the Earth Situated on Dakins Road in Gladstone Wairarapa theestate is currently owned by fifth generation farmers Angus and Davina Thomson TASTING NOTES The grapes used to craft Golden Goose Pinot Noir were handpicked cold soaked and fermented in traditional oak cuv eacute es The juice obtained was then pressed and aged in new French oak barriques This process led to the creation of a deep crimson hued wine displaying vibrant red tinges This elegant Pinot Noir flaunts a lush bouquet and juicy palate full of plums red currants spice cedar and dried herbs Fine tannins combine with intense red and dark fruits as well as savoury nuances to provide a silky texture The finish is harmonious Drink this dazzling Pinot Noir with a rack of lamb or gamey meats like venison to appreciate its grand fruit flavours nbsp
